The fifth annual ISWE Post Budget Analysis Event took place in Maynooth University on Wednesday October 8th.
The event consisted of a lively panel discussion, moderated by Dr Aedín Doris (MU), with panelists Dr. Nora Strecker (UCD), Dr. Eddie Casey (OECD) and Dr. Lucie Martin (ESRI). Panelists provided a critical assessment of the 2026 Budget, focusing in particular on the measures targeted to address the Irish housing crisis and on the challenges posed by climate change. The debate was followed by a Q&A session. Guests also had the opportunity to discuss the budget further at the wine and canapés reception afterwards.
