The Irish Society for Women in Economics International Women’s Day 2025 event took place on Monday the 10th March at the University of Galway. The theme of IWD 2025 was ‘accelerate action’ with a focus on supporting women and girls into leadership, decision-making, and economics, and how male allies can support and progress gender equality. A panel discussion included Deputy Governor Vasileios Madouros (Central Bank), Prof. Helena Lenihan (University of Limerick) and Prof. John Mc Hale (University of Galway) and was moderated by ISWE Chair Dr. Emma Howard (TU Dublin). We are grateful for the support of the Central Bank of Ireland, and to the University of Galway for hosting.
