On 24 April 2026, ISWE co-organised the 2nd Women in Macro Workshop at the Central Bank of Ireland, in partnership with the Bank and IM-TCD group at Trinity College Dublin. The event, supported by the SNDE and IAEE, brought together leading economists from academia, international institutions, and central banks to advance macroeconomic research and foster collaboration among women in the field. Hélène Rey (London Business School) delivered an inspiring keynote on “The Ins & Outs of Chinese Monetary Policy Transmission,” setting the tone for substantive discussions throughout the day.

Women remain significantly under-represented in economics. Events like this are vital to building a more inclusive, diverse research community where women economists can share ideas, collaborate, and advance the field. ISWE is committed to supporting initiatives that create space for women’s voices in economic policy and research.

The workshop was organised by Dilan Aydın Yakut (Central Bank of Ireland, ISWE), Martyna Marczak (TCD), Alessia Paccagnini (UCD), and Vitaliia Yaremko (TCD). For more details, visit: https://sites.google.com/view/womeninmacroeconomics/2nd-women-in-macro-workshop
